Getting a cheap smartwatch in 2019: Newwear Q20 Smartwatch Unboxing and Impressions
Today, we're going to find out if this cheap smartwatch will stand out among the current cheap smartwatches in the market.
I got the Q20 from Bang good shopping site. It's similar to Lazada and offers COD as well with a fee. Processing of the order took time but the shipping was quick, it took only a week and was delivered to me on my doorstep. When I opened the parcel, there were no freebies from the seller and the box wasn't wrapped in plastic and just had a tape preventing the box from spilling its contents.
Opening the box, you'll see the the watch and a specification card underneath is the charging cable and user manual.
The Q20's bands can be interchangeable and comes in a silicone and milanese stainless steel strap. In my case I chose the milanese stainless magnetic steel strap as it looks amazing from the online pictures. And in person, it does give off a luxury feel.
The magnetic steel strap ensures an adjustable fit but since I have a small wrist, it's a bit longer and loose when I wear it.
The milanese steel strap also gives the Q20 a casual but elegant look and it could be perfect for any occasion.
The build of the Q20 feels a bit of a plastic casing. There's no specified material on the seller's page so I cannot determine what it is really made of.
Inspecting the watch, it has no side buttons and the only touchscreen area is on the lower part of the watch, with a sheer circle marker. At the back is the sensors and some wordings describing the watch around it.
The bluetooth version for the Q20 is 4.0 so it must be compatible with most phones be it android or iOS.
It includes most features I usually see on smartwatches like the heart rate monitor, blood pressure, sleep monitoring and this is interesting as it has as ' Female Physiological Cycle' features that allows women to track their fertile and not fertile phases so if any of you plans to have kids then this might be of help or to any woman who would just want track their menstrual cycles.
It also has notification features that you can configure on the app and other features like the sedentary reminder, alarms, camera control, find your band
the application name for the Q20 is H Band, you can just scan the qr code from the spec card and download from there.
Since this is a cheap smartwatch, I don't really expect much from it however, I can say that its features and functions are adequate. I haven't tested it yet so my opinion might change along the way and so I hope you guys will stay tune for the in-depth review of this Q20 Smartwatch.
